We hosted New Boston Huron and Adrian Tuesday for a double dual. We won both contests to move to 11-2 overall and 2-0 in the Huron League. Milan 136 New Boston 35 Milan 106 Adrian 74 We won 6 of the 12 events, but it was our depth that allowed us to prevail. Winners Included: Medley Relay of Afton Presley, Mary Kate Wayne, Sara Mitchell and Kelsie Gillay 100 Fly and 100 Breast was won by Wayne Evelyn Gill took the 500 Presley won the 100 Back 400 Relay of Lila McKenna, Gill, Avery Hovatter and Wayne In the 200 Free: Mckenna, Ashtyn Bergstrom, and Cristina Wilson all had fantastic swims. The 200 IM saw great swims by Mitchell and Presley Violet Wellington swam a great 50 free for her very first race ever. Hazel Gibbs, Lyric Lowry, Ginny Heikka, Kenleigh Vandergrift, and Gillay all had nice swims as well. Sky Gallinger took 2nd in diving to score her first Varsity points. Sky has worked hard to learn new dives and it is starting to pay off. In addition to Wayne's great 100 Fly, Hovatter and Briana Pumfrey had excellent swims to score big points for Milan. Emma Brown swam the 100 fly and did great. This was Emma's last race to accomplish swimming every event this season!!! Tori Kimberly, Vandergerift, Ashtyn Bergstrom, Wilson, Delany Didyk, Gibbs and Lowry all had excellent 100 frees, as we started to extend our lead over Adrian. The 500 was a 1,2,3 for Milan with Mckenna and Pumfrey taking 2,3 behind Gill's win The 200 Free Relay of Mitchell, Gillay, Mckenna and Hovatter was 2nd, our B of Bergstrom, Vandergrift, Kimberly and Gill took 3rd, and the C of Wilson, Lowry, Didyk and Zoie Devine swam all best times!! The 100 Back was a 1,2 for Milan with Presley and Mitchell, Emma Brown had a fantastic swim to take 6th. The 100 breast was dominated by Wayne, and Gillay was 3rd, Kimberly 4th and Devine 7th. The meet concluded with the 400 relay. The B team of Bergstrom , Heikka, Vandergrift and Presley was 3rd, and the C of Wilson, Pumfrey, Brown, and Didyk was 5th, while the A relay took the win. It was a great night of racing, and the girls competed hard in what is one of the hardest stretches of the season. Thank you for your support of our Lady Big Red Swimmers and Divers.
